Phase II: field collection       

Each field work researcher after passing the training is  provided with a digital camera allows disk imaging and video plus lighting battery-powered device, and a digital audio recording device battery-powered as well, and a laptop. At the end of his daily work he conveys all what he had collected from observations and interviews, photos and video to his laptop and sends it via the Internet to the center's headquarters in Cairo.

The Archive receives field collector's messages. Then the specialist team pass data to the computer center. And Then addresses each expert unit (literature, material culture, etc ) to examine the group material, indexing and preparing it for safe keeping. At the same time, they can online instantaneously communicate with collectors in the field to discuss any problems and direct them to modify the path if necessary. Experts also travel to field work sites to observe the research conduct on site.
